Tuesday is our meeting night at 7:00 at First Baptist.  We will have a quick meeting then we need to work on the table decorations for the Court of honor on Dec 12th.  I think we have the logs under control!  (Thanks to the Gentleman’s and Tunks families )

We need youth to bring the following supplies (please label your stuff):

  • Wire cutters (to cut the decorations for the logs)
  • Hot glue guns (I have two but it would be nice to have more so each youth can work on a log)
  • We could use a couple of drills also to drill the holes for the candles
  • Parent volunteers to help at the drilling station

Also attached is the Court of Honor invitation from the Troop.  I need to get a count of who is attending….we are being ask to bring hot vegetable dishes.  The youth will be working on the Venturing portion of the event.  Please let me know on Tuesday how many from your family will attend! This is an important opportunity for us to share with the Troop our mission of providing a great scouting program at First Baptist! 

Also please bring CD’s of any pictures you have taken throughout the year!  We need to get them to Mitch and Hannah so we can start over on updating our pictures on our new website!  It is looking really cool!!! Thanks to Mitch for all his hard work on this. 

December 17 is our Annual -Crew Holiday party all are invited!!! Parents as well as youth!  Due to the growth in the Crew the youth decided to have the party at the church!  It will start at 7:00 and go until 11:00. 

The event will have the following:

  • Dirty Santa Gift Game—Bring a present $10.00 value and wrap.  We will then exchange presents the Dirty Santa way!  It is always lots of fun and everyone tries to bring the gift that everyone wants to steal!  You never know what the hot gift of the year will be!! It is sure to be fun!  Must bring a gift to participate!!
  • Snacks- the Crew will provide the drinks but we ask that everyone bring a yummy SNACK to share! 
  • Games- Bryan Dolan is in charge of the “Electronics”…if you have a WI or game cube with monitor that you can bring contact Bryan or Josh
  • Board Games…bring your favorite game to play!
  • A time to relax and enjoy the company of others in the CREW!!

******Don’t forget that your $100.00 non refundable deposit is DUE  to secure your spot in the 2011 High Adventure Trip to West Virginia to white water raft the New Gauley River and to check out the continuous zipline!  It is going to be a terrific trip and experience that you will not want to miss!!!! We need to know who is attending so we can make a final reservations!!!  SPACE is limited as we only have 25 seats!!!  You won’t want to be left behind!  *********
